Our partnership with Clothes Aid

Our initiative with Clothes Aid has evolved into a multi-year sustainable and cost effective partnership, raising over £1 million.

In March 2013, Clothes Aid became Macmillan’s official clothing collection partner.

Clothes Aid, the UK’s largest clothing collection company, delivers Macmillan’s distinctive Bags of Support clothing bags to millions of households across the country and collects the donated clothing, shoes, accessories and linen. Clothes Aid gives Macmillan a royalty rate per tonne of clothing collected.

In addition to door-to-door collections, Clothes Aid offer one-stop collections for businesses, schools or community groups where there are larger quantities of bags available for collection. It is a great way to recycle and raise money for Macmillan at the same time.

Since the partnership began, Clothes Aid has raised over £1 million for Macmillan. This could fund six Macmillan nurses for three years, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support to help ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
