View the full marathon GPS route and half marathon GPS route.

Please note that the routes can be subject to change following health and safety inspections. Any key changes will be communicated on the day.

  • What time does it start and finish?

The hike will set off in waves 20 minutes apart, from 6.30am for the full marathon and 9.10am for the half marathon.

You will book your start wave when you register. These are given on a first-come, first-served basis and we advise hikers with a slow pace to book the earliest start wave available to give plenty of time to complete the route.

For the full marathon, we estimate that the fastest walkers will finish in around 7.5 hours while the slowest walkers could take around 12.5 hours.

For the half marathon, we estimate that the fastest walkers will finish in around 4 hours while the slowest walkers could take around 6 hours.

If your plans change, don’t worry, you can amend your start wave using our Manage My Booking page.

  • How do I get there?

Parking for our full and half marathon hikers is at Ulster University, BT52 1SA.

Free shuttle buses will run to the start line in the morning of the hike. There will also be free shuttle buses from the half marathon finish line to the car park in the afternoon.

You can book parking when you register.

  • When does registration close?

Registration for the full and half marathon closes at midnight on the Friday 13 June, one week before the hike, or earlier if it sells out.

So, sign up today to avoid missing out!

  • What if my Mighty Hike gets cancelled?
If your Mighty Hike is cancelled for any reason, you’ll be contacted by email and text and live updates will be made to this FAQ document with all the information you need.
