  • When and where does the Rob Roy Mighty Hike start and finish?

    The full marathon and half marathon start at Claish Farm House, Callander, FK17 8JJ.

    The half marathon finishes at Dounans Outdoor Centre, Aberfoyle, FK8 3UT. The full marathon is a circular route and finishes back at Claish Farm House. 

    The full marathon waves will start every 20 minutes from 06:50, and the half marathon waves will start every 20 minutes from 08:50.

  • What is the Rob Roy Mighty Hike route?

    The Rob Roy Mighty Hike will take you along the famous Rob Roy Way. You'll start just outside of Callander, walking anti-clockwise along the Way before stopping at Aberfoyle for the half marathon finish, and continuing back around to Callander for the full marathon finish line.

    Please note that the routes can be subject to change following health and safety inspections. Any key changes will be communicated on the day.

  • What are the route highlights for the Rob Roy Mighty Hike?

  • Where should I stay for the Rob Roy Mighty Hike?

    Callander is the closest town to the start line of the Rob Roy hike, but can be quick to sell out of accommodation so you can also stay in Stirling. It's less than a 30 minute drive from Stirling to Claish Farm House along the A84.

  • How do I get there?

    We recommend having access to a vehicle to get to this event. 

    Parking for the full marathon and half marathon is at the start at Claish Farm House, Callander, FK17 8JJ.

    Free shuttle buses will run from the half marathon finish at Dounans Outdoor Centre back to the start in the afternoon.

    You can book parking and shuttle buses when you register.

  • What if my Mighty Hike gets cancelled?
    If your Mighty Hike is cancelled for any reason, you’ll be contacted by email and text and live updates will be made to this FAQ document with all the information you need.
  • Is the Rob Roy Mighty Hike accessible?

    We aim to make our Mighty Hikes as inclusive as possible and will do our best to support participants with health conditions or disabilities.

    However, please note that our routes are not wheelchair accessible.
