Volunteering Service: Bristol Buddies

Practical help and support groups

*CURRENTLY DUE TO THE COVID-19 SITUATION OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE ONLY OFFERING SUPPORT BY TELEPHONE.* Bristol Buddies provides people affected by cancer with practical help around the home and local area during and post their cancer treatment. A volunteer will provide short to medium term support, visiting once a week for a couple of hours for up to 12 weeks. They can help with the everyday tasks that we take for granted when we are fit and healthy, but can become difficult when you are dealing with the side effects of your cancer treatment. So whether it is doing some light cleaning, keeping the garden under control, doing the shopping, or just sitting and having a chat, we are happy to help. The service is for people with a cancer diagnosis across all cancer sites. It is open to people living in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. We operate from 9.00am to 7.30pm.
