Our internship scheme offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved with Macmillan by working with our experienced staff on projects and events throughout the year. If you're a student, graduate or considering a change in career, we've got volunteer internship opportunities for you to build on your existing skills and gain new ones.
Finding available Internships to apply for
Please note: the above search shows all volunteering opportunities.
To just see internship opportunities:
1/ Go to 'Advanced search' (also available from the above page):
And then either:
a/ Enter your postcode and then under the 'How do you want to help' section tick 'Take part in our internship scheme' and then click the 'Search' button.
b/ Enter your postcode and then add in the word 'internship' in the keywords section on that page and click 'Search'.
You can also change such variables as 'How far you can travel' and 'The days you are available' with either approach.
Both methods should show you the internship opportunities that are currently available with Macmillan.
The Intern Experience
We also have other volunteering opportunities throughout the UK. So even if you currently can't commit to an internship with Macmillan, there are plenty of other ways that you can get involved and help us.
Through doing this voluntary internship, there were jobs I’d never even heard of that have now become a possibility through my volunteering experience at Macmillan – so hopefully in the future I can work in the charity sector

Can you afford to do an internship?
We reimburse expenses incurred whilst interning for us.
All of our internships are volunteer internships so you can still claim benefits whilst volunteering for us.
We are flexible about days and times so you can fit interning in around part time work or other responsibilities.
