Information and support centres

Cancer can leave you facing many challenges, from coping with your cancer care, to finding the help you need or planning a holiday after a diagnosis. At our local information and support centres, you'll find a team of experts and trained volunteers on hand to answer your questions. They aim to give you a ‘time away’ from the cancer clinic, where you can find a listening ear and information on everything from local support groups to help for the financial problems cancer may create.

You can access booklets, leaflets and other sources of information free of charge. Some centres offer services such as counseling, complementary therapy or support to deal with issues such as hair loss. They may also run courses to support you following cancer treatment.

Services can be found within hospital cancer centres, or in the community – in libraries, shops or mobile units.

You don't need an appointment to speak to or visit our centres. And you're welcome whether you have a cancer diagnosis, are worried about cancer or are visiting on behalf of a friend or relative.

To find your nearest centre you can use our local area search, which will also give more details about the services offered. Please note our search does include details of some cancer information and support services that are not directly supported by Macmillan. In these cases Macmillan can only share the information that the organisation that runs them has provided.

Mobile information centres

If you see a large green bus with our logo, an information and support stand or workshop taking place in a community setting near you, it is likely to be our Mobile Information and Support Service. Our team of experts visit rural towns, market days, city centres, community centres, large events, universities and workplaces. The service will consider all venues if it helps people to better access face-to-face information and support.

We are unable to take new requests for a mobile information centre to visit your town at the moment, but if you have an enquiry about our upcoming visits please get in touch by emailing

Health and wellbeing clinics

The impact of cancer doesn’t stop when treatment ends. With more people than ever surviving after a diagnosis, getting support after treatment is vital.

Cancer environments

Macmillan has been creating healing cancer environments with the NHS and other partners since 1976, and we’re experts at what we do.
