The kidneys in the body - image description

Image shows the position of the kidneys and bladder from the front view of a person’s body. There are two kidneys one on the left and one on the right. The kidneys are at waist height. Each kidney is about the size of a fist.  On top of each kidney there is an adrenal gland. The adrenal glands are small, about a third of the size of the kidney.  Each kidney has a tube, called a ureter, coming out of it. Each ureter is about 25 to 30cm in length. The ureters connect the kidneys to the bladder which sits at the front of the body between the hips.
