Practical help and support groups

We run a ‘drop in day’ on a Monday at the Macmillan Day Unit from 10am – 4pm. Within this we offer a carer’s group; Fatigue, Anxiety & Breathlessness workshop for patients and a ‘Lunch & Learn’ session for health professionals. We also have the Macmillan Move More programme launching on a Monday soon and Welfare Benefits fortnightly. Macmillan Day Services run on a Tuesday from 10am -3pm within the Macmillan Day Unit in Arbroath Infirmary. Support is provided in a group and one-one basis. We offer complementary therapies for the patients along with seated exercises and Macmillan’s Move More programme (gentle exercise). A dedicated Macmillan nurse is also available.

Group supports: adults; carers; patients; relatives; children whose relative has cancer; young adults affected by cancer; young adults with cancer; men; women; bisexual; gay; lesbian; transgender; religious groups.
