Once you have enquired using the details below, our co-ordinator will arrange to visit you at home to find out more about the help you need. We offer: a listening ear and companionship, health and wellbeing support by providing information on how to look after yourself and signposting to other organisations for physical and nutritional advice, free and confidential support provided by our project coordinator, support worker and trained volunteers. We support people at any stage of their cancer journey. This means at or shortly after diagnosis, during treatment and through to recovery. We also support people that have received a terminal diagnosis and may have more complex needs. We will do this in partnership with other organisations along with clinical professionals. We always respect the wishes of the patient and their family.
Macmillan Volunteer Project is available to people living with cancer, their relatives, friends and carers. The project is provided in partnership between Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland and Macmillan Cancer Support.
