Practical help and support groups

Our volunteers can help to make life easier by visiting you regularly and doing housework, shopping or carrying out tasks that you can’t do yourself. They’ll also be more than happy to simply sit down, have a chat and listen to how you’re feeling.

The service supports individuals who are aged over 18 and affected by cancer. You must also have a need for the service such as isolation, loneliness, lack of support networks or difficulty coping with practical tasks at home. We can also provide support for the families of children with cancer.

We offer:

  • Befriending
  • Bereavement support
  • Home visiting
  • Hospital visiting
  • Provision for deaf/hard of hearing
  • Provision for learning difficulties
  • Provision for visually impaired

Catchment area:

Ballymena/Antrim, Coleraine/Ballymoney

  • Opening times:

The service offers support between Monday and Saturday 9am – 7.30pm. Service offered depends on the availability of volunteers.
