Practical help and support groups

Our volunteers can help to make life easier by visiting you regularly and doing housework, shopping or carrying out tasks that you can’t do yourself. They’ll also be more than happy to simply sit down, have a chat and listen to how you’re feeling.

Services offered: ractical support, emotional support, listening, light housework, gardening, company, shopping.

We offer:

  • Befriending
  • Bereavement support
  • Home visiting
  • Hospital visiting
  • Provision for deaf/hard of hearing
  • Provision for learning difficulties
  • Provision for visually impaired
  • Signposting to other services
  • Transport service

Catchment area:

Southern Health and Social Care Trust area, Northern Ireland. The service is dependent on volunteer availability and is available for up to 6 months.

  • Opening times:

    Monday - Saturday 9.00am - 7.30pm depending on the availability of volunteers
