Practical help and support groups

People tell us they need emotional, social and practical support during their cancer journey and they want help locally. Our volunteers can provide emotional and practical support to both those who are living with cancer and their families. Emotional help can include listening and talking, providing a supportive contact to help reduce feelings of isolation, offering reassurance and increasing confidence. Practical help can include helping with daily activities like shopping, light housework and gardening. The service is dependent on volunteer availability and is available for up to 6 months.
