Practical help and support groups

Our group meets on the first Thursday of every month at the Macmillan Horizon Centre, Brighton from 6.30pm – 8.45pm. The aim of the group is to offer the opportunity for women who have tested positive for the BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 gene mutation to support each other and to create a safe and confidential space, to meet others and share experiences. It will also have an educational element in terms of visiting speakers, mainly from the medical profession.

Cancer type(s):

Breast cancer in women and Ovarian cancer

Group is for women carrying the faulty BRCA1 & 2 gene who have either already been affected by cancer or are at much higher risk than the general population of developing it. There is disabled access.
