Practical help and support groups

"COVID-19:Visit our website SECHC.ORG.UK to see which therapies are being offered online by phone or video, and which face-to-face therapies, one to one and group sessions, have resumed in the Centre in Purley." SECHC aims to support any person affected by cancer within the last 3 years (both patients and their carer or close relative) by the provision of individual and group support, complementary therapies and information within a friendly, caring environment. These services have local NHS recognition. Confidentiality is always maintained. The Centre offers individual and group support, complementary therapies (including aromatherapy, beauty treatments, counselling, EFT, facials, hairdressing, hypnotherapy, massage, nutritional advice, reflexology, Reiki on a one-to-one basis; and Art & Crafts, Drama, Pilates, Relaxation & Meditation, Mindfulness Meditation, Tai Chi, Yoga, Cinema Club, and various creative activities & workshops in groups) as well as information via a small library. Counselling offered includes telephone counselling (for patients unable to visit the Centre). We have a large room for group activities and support group meetings, two treatment rooms for massage etc, and two rooms for counselling, hypnotherapy etc.

The group supports adults, carers, patients, relatives, parents of children or young adults with or affected by cancer.
