Our group is for anyone who is or has been affected by cancer. We hold regular monthly meetings at 6pm until 7.30pm on the 1st Thursday of every month, with the exception of January and August. We work with other organisations such as Macmillan Cancer Support as well as represent patients and carers views. We have regular Guest Speakers such as : Welfare Rights Advisors, Dieticians, Therapists, Medical Professionals, Representatives of other support groups
The group is for everyone that is or has been affected by cancer whether they are the patient, carer, or relative. We offer: Information on issues affecting cancer patients. The opportunity to influence cancer services in the future. Day trips, social activities and events, meals out. Confidential and emotional support in a safe and friendly environment. Free Patient Transport to get our members to and from Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy sessions. Non-members can pay a donation to access this service. Handmade Chemo Bag for patients undergoing cancer treatments. The bags contain pens, notebook, tissues, water, antibacterial gel and wipes, mints and much more. The bags are designed by one of our cancer patients and are handmade by our members. Respite Break in our Holiday Home.
