Support Group Setting

Brighton Buddies is: a home befriending service for people affected by cancer; prioritising particularly socially isolated people (e.g. living alone, family live away); a visit once a week from a trained volunteer for approximately 12 visits but may extend; a listening ear service, practical and emotional support. The volunteer will listen to the person and signpost to other services where necessary. Managed and governed by Macmillan. All volunteers are DBS checked, have had their references checked and attended compulsory training in areas such as boundaries and risk.
