Practical help and support groups

Volunteers can provide once a week support and practical help at home with tasks such as shopping, running errands and/or general housework such as light ironing, vacuuming, or help with laundry. The little things that make a big difference. Our trained volunteers can also offer befriending service and occasional transport to activities or social meetings. The scheme is available in South Lanarkshire areas. The service offers support to people affected by all cancers and operates Monday to Friday 10am to 7.30pm

Group supports: Adults; Carers; Patients; Relatives; Young adults affected by cancer; Young adults with cancer; Parents of Children or Young Adults with cancer; Men; Women; Bisexual; Gay; Lesbian; Transgender; Religious group
