The West Wales Prostate Cancer Support Group

Practical help and support groups

We are a patient-led support group offering support to men (and family members/friends) as they go through the process of investigation, diagnosis and treatment for prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer

We raise awareness and campaign for improved services. We operate a helpline service backed up by Active Treatment Referees willing to use their own experience to help others. We will do our best to put callers in touch with a Welsh speaker if requested. Members meet informally every two months (usually over a pub lunch) in Swansea or Carmarthen. We keep in touch by phone, e-mail and a regular newsletter.

Catchment area:

West and South West Wales (Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Neath-Port Talbot and Bridgend)

  • Opening times:

Our details are usually given to men by clinicians at diagnosis. Patients also hear about us through our education and awareness work, by word of mouth or via our website.
