Practical help and support groups

Macmillan Solutions offers practical and emotional support to people affected by cancer including carers. We aim to match a volunteer suitable for you, somebody whom we think you might get on with, as feeling at ease with a volunteer is very important. Volunteers may offer transport to a hospital appointment, shopping, befriending or cut your lawn every couple of weeks. We are also able to support Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka speakers through partnership with Wai Yin Chinese Women Society, Manchester. Please telephone or e-mail us. We then arrange to visit and see what help is required. Note support is only available if we have a suitable volunteer at the time. We are based in Salford at Audacious Church. If we have volunteers available we will take referrals from Greater Manchester; please telephone to discuss. Contact us Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
