Practical help and support groups

PASIC provide one to one practical emotional support to young people with cancer and parents of a child with cancer. PASIC also offer financial grants to parents struggling to cope with the financial difficulties of caring for a child with cancer and organise a programme of activities and days out for children, young people and their families throughout the year, aimed at offering a chance to meet up with others in a similar situation, the opportunity to build support networks and enjoy a family day out without the worry of cost. Along with CLIC Sargent, PASIC also help to run a monthly support group aimed at parents of a child or young person with cancer, on treatment or off treatment, on the first Monday of every month. The monthly support group is held at house which is opposite the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. It is called Billy’s House which is funded by CLIC Sargent, and the accommodation is for our oncology families who live a distance away from the hospital. The address is: 564 Derby Road, Lenton, Nottingham NG7 2GY
