Practical help and support groups

Rutland and Melton Cancer Support group was founded sixteen years ago and meets monthly in both Oakham and Melton. It has a regular attendance of about forty members and has proved to be an invaluable source of friendship and support to anyone suffering or recovering from cancer, those who have been bereaved, or who care or have cared for a family member regardless of age. All are welcome

The group does not offer medical advice but can help in other ways. We offer emotional support, mutual friendship, confidentiality, regular meetings, regular newsletters , interesting and informative speakers, social activities and outings.If you or a family member have been affected by cancer and you would like to talk to somebody pleases phone either Marjorie (01572 722311) or Jane (01664 424595). We look forward to seeing as many people as possible at either group!

    In Melton Mowbray - First Tuesday in the month at the Samworth Centre 10 am to 12 pm In Oakham - Third thursday of the month at “The Friends Meeting House, Gaol Street, Oakham between 10.30am – 12.30pm.
