The Acorn Cancer Support Group

Practical help and support groups

Our aim is to alleviate that physical and emotional distress that cancer patients and their carers may feel. Our three groups meet once a month: Ramsey 1st Monday, Huntingdon 2nd Wednesday and St Ives 3rd Wednesday. Because we believe that no one should be prevented from receiving our support because of financial issues, we offer all services free to our members. This includes aromatherapy, reflexology, massage, reiki, seated exercise as well as refreshments/light lunch. Apart from the mutual support there are also volunteers on hand to offer help and lend an ear. We major on creating an atmosphere of fun. To complement this we run social outings, a film club and occasional guest speakers.
