Breast Cancer Haven is a national charity that supports women and men throughout or after their breast cancer treatment. The support programme, delivered by trained professional nurses, therapists, counsellors and advisers, is tailored around each individual’s emotional, physical and practical needs. This includes advice on practical things like money and work, healthy eating and exercise as well as help on how to combat stress, exhaustion and nausea. Above all, they are there for people affected by breast cancer to talk to about their concerns and worries regarding treatment and its impact. Their support is free of charge and available in their relaxing and welcoming Breast Cancer Haven centres and an expanding network of outreach services. Each visitor to Breast Cancer Haven can expect to receive up to ten free hours' of supportive therapy time. In addition, visitors will receive two hours' of nurse specialist time at the beginning and end of their tailored programme.
