Macmillan West Lancashire Information and Support Service

Information and support centres

We are relocating our information centre so drop in sessions are currently not available. Our team is, however, still available to offer free and confidential support, advice and information to you, your family and carers, now and in the future. We offer time to meet with you and talk together, helping you to plan and live well. Whatever your problem we will go the extra mile to support you living with and beyond cancer. We offer emotional support, cancer information materials, access to benefits advice, Holistic Needs Assessments & signposting to local support services and will shortly be reestablishing our local support groups. We provide the Coventry University/Macmillan ‘HOPE Course' (Help Overcoming Problems Effectively) to help people manage the day to day impact cancer has on their lives and rediscover their strengths after treatment ends. We provide Health & Wellbeing Events twice a year, to support people living with and beyond cancer to support self-management through the many services available locally. We also work closely with local therapists including Boots to offer pamper sessions. We welcome people who would like to volunteer to help promote the work of the service locally. For an appointment or a general chat please ring 01695 402164. Follow us on Facebook: MacmillanWL & Twitter: macmillanWL
