Information and support centres

The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service, is located in Oncology, Haematology and Radiotherapy Outpatients. The Pod offers support, advice and information for anyone affected by cancer. It is staffed by the Macmillan Information and Support team and trained volunteers, and stocks literature on cancer and support, including specific tumour sites, side effects, work, help for carers and the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis. Includes a benefits service provided by Suffolk County Council and includes identification of all benefits and support with applications and form completion. The service will also help find local support groups and self-management courses. The service also provides a space for a listening ear, support and signposting to counselling or other supportive services. Anybody can drop in, Monday to Friday 9:00 – 16:00, with an Information Specialist available all day (no appointment necessary). Closed Bank Holidays.
