Information and support centres

*Due to Covid-19 please phone or email us to check our opening times and availability before visiting our Centre.* Maggie’s Centres support anyone who has been affected by cancer, including friends and family. We provide emotional and psychological support through a mixture of networking and therapeutic groups. We also provide 1:1 emotional support with our clinical psychologists and cancer support specialists. Our cancer support specialists are experienced oncology health care professionals such as nurses, radiotherapists and occupational therapist. We have a benefits advisor who supports people with increased money worries, which often arise following a cancer diagnosis. This includes identifying benefits and grants which you may be eligible for and helping you to fill in these forms. We have an active programme of support which runs throughout the month helping our visitors to regain physical fitness, strength and emotional wellbeing through activities such as yoga, tai-chi and nordic walking. The programme also offers practical support such as stress management, nutrition, legal advice and will writing. Maggie's centres do not have a referral process, or catchment areas. If you would like to visit Maggie's Swansea you can drop-in to the centre when visiting the hospital. During Covid-19 we ask that if you are not visiting Singleton hospital but would like to visit the centre, please call ahead to arrange a time to visit. Our centre is open Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700 (except Bank Holidays).
