The service provides advice on what benefits you and your family may be entitled to, whether or not you are able to work. The adviser can give advice about how to make a claim and help with doing so where required, including filling in forms. The adviser can also help you to apply for one off grants, e.g. to help with fuel costs, to pay for a convalescent holiday or a new household item. The service can assist you with appealing against decisions on your benefit entitlement where appropriate.
