Benefit advice services

The service has been funded by Macmillan Cancer Support since October 2007, and is managed by Citizens Advice in West Sussex (North South East). The service provides a free, confidential welfare benefits advice service to people affected by cancer and their carers, throughout West Sussex. We are able to provide advice either over the telephone, or by appointment at a number of regular outreach clinics. Occasional home visits can be arranged if necessary. We can advise and assist with applications for all welfare benefits, including: Universal Credit Attendance Allowance and Personal Independence Payment, Employment and Support Allowance, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit, Tax Credits, Pension Credit, etc. Benefits Appeals and Reviews, Applying for grants, including Macmillan Grants. Applying for help with health costs, such as travel to hospital, and advising on travel services such as Red Cross and WRVS. Blue Badge applications. Advice, signposting and referral for other issues such as debt, housing, or employment problems. Community Care or Occupational Health referrals.
