On the ground floor of the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre you’ll find the Macmillan Support and Information Service. Our team of experienced NHS staff and trained volunteers offer a range of supportive care services in a welcoming and informal environment for those affected by cancer and red cell conditions. Whether you’re a patient, family member, friend or carer, we’re here for you at any stage of your care pathway – from diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond. Our team consists of: Support and information specialists, welfare and benefits advisers, wig and scarf tying adviser, complementary therapists, dietitian, psychological and emotional care team, volunteers.
We regret that we can only see UCH in-patients or out-patients with malignant (cancer) and non-malignant haematological conditions (such as Sickle Cell).
A drop-in service is offered on Tuesday and Thursday 11:30am-1:30pm of a first come first serve basis. The rest of the time, 9am-5pm Mon-Fri is by booked appointment only.
