Some of your spectacular 2018 highlights

  • 517 fabulous DVS volunteers gave 19,149 hours of face-to-face support to 1,166 people with cancer 
  • 485 different events were supported by volunteers in our Action Team who together gave almost 15,000 hours of their time – that’s 25% more than in 2017
  • 3,592 volunteering hours were donated to the Grants team, helping to secure an enormous £557,808 in external grants
  • £7.5m was brought in by our marvelous committees and fundraising groups
  • 777 magnificent volunteers gave 3,745 hours to the Mobile Information Support Service
  • 67 remarkable volunteers were awarded regional awards for their outstanding contribution to supporting people affected by cancer
  • 1,412 volunteers took part in our M&S collections in September, making it our single largest volunteering activity ever
