Take on a classic capital to coast route over the Bank Holiday weekend.
This challenge starts at Richmond and follows a picturesque route which winds along the Thames. You'll then go over the beautiful North Downs and through the Surrey and Suffolk countryside. With the final push you'll feel the sea air with fantastic views of the Brighton coast and the finish line ahead.
You'll be fully supported throughout the day with food and rest stops en route.
You’ll get full support and hospitality all the way, leaving you to focus on your challenge.
Or, obtain a Self Funded place and raise whatever you can to help support people living with cancer. Simply select the option to fundraise for Macmillan when signing up and we'll support you every step of the way.
We want to use this amazing event to make a difference. We know cancer can affect everything; your body, your relationships, your money, everything. But we’re here to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer, and it's fundraisers like you make that possible.
Visually impaired participants are welcome, and usually take part with someone supporting them on route. There may be a discounted charge for this to cover event costs such as food etc. so please speak to the Action Challenge team for more details.
Event sites are generally in playing fields or outdoor areas on flat land. Please speak to the Action Challenge team to discuss the courses suitability to your accessibility requirements.
For spectators, there is limited wheelchair access and this can vary on the day depending on ground conditions.
Our main priority is the health and wellbeing of our participants, volunteers and colleagues. We’re committed to keeping you up to date with information regarding your event as we receive it.
If your event is cancelled or postponed, we will be in touch to let you know what options are available to you.
If you have any questions at any point, you can email the team at hiking@macmillan.org.uk and we’ll be happy to help.
