La Marmotte 2017

Join us

La Marmotte 2017 Sportive will see you take on 170km, with a challenging 5000m of climbs. You will take on the Col du Glandon, the Col du Telegraph and the infamous Col du Galibier, followed by a 47km descent to Bourg d'Oisans, before finishing up the 21 hairpin bend climb to Alpe d’Huez.

Itinerary :

Thursday June 29 – Optional early arrival day

Friday June 30 – Grimpee de L’Alpe Alpe d’Huez time trial and main arrival day

Saturday July 1 – Registration day, event expo, Sports Tours International race briefing

Sunday July 2 – Marmotte day

Monday July 3 – Departure day

There are two ways you can enter La Marmotte:

1. Register for a Team Macmillan charity place

Places now sold out : Package: Race entry and 4 nights bed and breakfast at the Belle Aurore Hotel (twin rooms available). Registration fee: £230 (payable to Sports Tours International). You pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000 in sponsorship.

You have the option of adding coach transfers, starting and finishing at Geneva Airport, for £99 (available from Sports Tours directly). Alternatively, you can make your own way to our hotels in Alpe d'Huez if preferred.

To apply for a Team Macmillan charity place just click on the 'Get a guaranteed place' button above and complete our online form.

2. Public entry

Public entry for the 2017 La Marmotte is now open on the Sports Tours website If you’ve already secured your own place, you can still join Team Macmillan – just select 'Join Team Macmillan if you already have a place'.

Whichever option you choose, you'll get great benefits when you join Team Macmillan, including:

  • A full fundraising pack and cycling training guide.
  • A free Team Macmillan cycling jersey (when you reach your fundraising target).
  • Regular e-newsletters to keep you up to date with Team Macmillan and La Marmotte news.

Most importantly, we'll provide you with a reason to put in those months of training and fundraising, because you know that your efforts are going towards improving the lives of people living with cancer in the UK today.
