Other ways to donate

Donations make up 98% of our annual income – we simply couldn’t do what we do without you. Your donations, no matter how big or small, will help us to care for even more people living with cancer.

Whether the donation is from you personally, or is some money you’ve raised through an event or collected from others, we’re delighted to receive it. There are a number of different ways you can get the money to us. By text, over the telephone, by post or paying directly into our bank account. Find out more below.

Donate with AmazonSmile

Did you know that you can support people living with cancer through your everyday purchases? Shopping online at AmazonSmile is a fantastic way to support Macmillan at no extra cost to you.

What is AmazonSmile?

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with exactly the same products, prices and shopping features as Amazon.co.uk. Whilst using AmazonSmile your shopping experience remains completely the same the only difference is Amazon will donate to your chosen charity every time you shop.

How does AmazonSmile donate?

If you have selected Macmillan as your chosen charity, every time you make a purchase on AmazonSmile we’ll receive a donation of 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible products.

Why use AmazonSmile?

Shopping on AmazonSmile provides you with the same great experience as Amazon.co.uk but with the added bonus of knowing Macmillan will receive an extra donation from your purchases at no additional cost to you or the charity.

To date, Macmillan has received over £28,000 through AmazonSmile. Please help us reach more people affected by cancer by switching over to AmazonSmile and selecting Macmillan Cancer Support as your chosen charity.

Setting up AmazonSmile

If you already have an Amazon account, you are just a few steps away from enabling your purchases to support Macmillan.

  1. Start by visiting smile.amazon.co.uk.
  2. Login to your regular Amazon account.
  3. Select Macmillan Cancer Support as your chosen charity.
  4. You’ll receive an email from Amazon which means you are all set and ready to shop.
  5. Shop as you normally would and let your purchases support Macmillan. Just remember to make sure you are using smile.amazon.co.uk.

Donate loyalty and reward points

Did you know that you can now support people living with cancer by donating your loyalty and reward points? Macmillan Cancer Support can now receive income in exchange for loyalty and reward points at no extra cost to you.

Who are For Good Causes?

For Good Causes is a company working to transform charitable giving by creating new ways to donate. They have created a brand-new currency for giving by creating a mechanism enabling you to donate your points via For Good Causes, converting them into a donation to a charity of your choice.

How does it work?

Many well-known brands are already live. These include BP, Quidco, Vodafone and many more. Log in to participating brands websites to redeem your points and follow the simple steps to donate. Visit For Good Causes website to find out who’s participating and for more information.

Why donate using my loyalty and reward points?

Donating using your hard-earned points is super easy and allows Macmillan to receive vital funds at no additional cost to you.

There is around £7 billion of unused loyalty and reward points that exist in the UK today with millions more being earned each day. Please help us reach more people affected by cancer by converting your points into cash and donating it to Macmillan Cancer Support today.

Post your donation

We are extremely grateful for your ongoing generosity. Our post is taking longer to reach us than normal so if you post your donation, it will take us a bit longer than normal to send you a thank you letter. We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.

To send us a cheque or credit card donation, or set up a direct debit by post, simply download the appropriate donation form at the bottom of this page and send it to the address provided at the bottom of the form.

If you haven't signed a Gift Aid declaration yet, you can do this easily using our online form. Alternatively, you can download a declaration [PDF], sign it and and post it with your donation. If you are eligible, Macmillan can claim an extra 25p back from every £1 you donate, from the government at no extra charge to you.

Pay directly into our bank

You can also make a donation in person at the bank or by doing an online transfer. Please call our Supporter Care Hub on 0300 1000 200 or email us at fundraising@macmillan.org.uk. They’ll be able to send you a paying in slip to use at any branch of NatWest, RBS or Ulster Bank.

Alternatively, they can provide you with a reference number and details to use for a bank transfer or BACS payment.

They can also take your details so we can send you an acknowledgement letter.

A quick and easy way to give either a one-off or regular monthly donation. 

Donations are taken out of the phone bill at source.

Obtain bill payer's permission. Age 16+. UK mobiles only. One off donations charged at £5 + std rate. Monthly subscription donations charged at £5 + std rate each month. Donate by telephone

If you’d like to donate using a credit or debit card you can do that online here. If you’re having trouble donating online or have a special request, we can also take credit/debit/charity card payments over the phone, just call our Supporter Care Hub on 0300 1000 200. Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

Due to strict security on our website if your card was issued outside the UK unfortunately you will be unable to donate online to us. But there are a number of alternative options:

  • Call us on +44 207 191 2172, and we can take a credit or debit card payment over the phone. Our lines are open 9am-5pm GMT Monday to Friday
  • Call us on +44 207 191 2172 or email us at fundraising@macmillan.org.uk and we can provide you with our bank details to make a bank transfer directly to our account
  • Donate directly to Macmillan via www.JustGiving.com/macmillan. They accept a range of currencies, and money reaches us securely.
