Vulval surgery: radical partial vulvectomy (lower) - image description

This diagram shows the vulva, and the lymph nodes that are at the top of the legs in the groin area. There is a dotted line around the area that is removed during a radical partial vulvectomy for a cancer on the lower part of the vulva. This area includes the lower inner lip and lower outer lip, and the perineum. There is also a dotted line around the lymph nodes on both the left- and right-hand sides, indicating that these will also be removed during this operation.
