Macmillan's Online Community

If you or a loved one is dealing with cancer, our Online Community is a place you can talk to others who understand what you are going through.

Many of our Community members say hearing from others who are going through similar experiences helps them feel less alone. This site is a safe space for you to be open about fears and emotions that might be difficult to discuss with family and friends.

Once you’re signed up you might want to join some groups relevant to your experiences, for example a particular cancer type, being a carer, or life after cancer. In groups you can respond to an existing discussion, or start a new one to introduce yourself. You might also like to start a blog or ask our experts a question.

Whatever you need to talk about there are others available to listen and support you. Find out more

Join some groups

Most of the activity on our Online Community takes place in groups. Groups bring people together to share information and experiences. Once you have joined some groups that are relevant to you, you can respond to an existing discussion, or start a new one to introduce yourself. If you don’t feel ready to post, you’re still very welcome to read and see what other people have to say.

Start a blog

A blog is a bit like a public version of a diary. Each time you want to update, you add a new post to the blog. You don’t need to start a blog to use the Community – but it’s a great way to record your own experience all in one place. Find out more or start your own blog.

Ask the experts

Join nurses, benefits advisers and other experts in our forums for regular scheduled webchats on different topics.
