Family and Childcare Trust

Family and Childcare Trust provides free information on a variety of childcare issues including, childcare options, where to find childcare and how to find help with childcare costs. You can search for your local Family Information Service in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Gov.uk gives information about public services, including advice on choosing childcare, childcare benefits and flexible working schemes in England, Scotland and Wales. Visit www.nidirect.gov.uk for information in Northern Ireland.

Department for Education

The Department for Education gives details of local nurseries, playgroups and Sure Start centres in England. These centres offer a variety of advice and support for parents and carers.

Scottish Family Information service

The Scottish Family Information service provides free, impartial information for parents and carers of children and young people in Scotland. You can search for childcare in your area or for your local Family Information Service.

The Welsh Government

The Welsh government website provides information on childcare and help available for families in Wales, including the Flying Start scheme to provide Early Years education and care to children in disadvantaged areas. You can also search for your local Family Information Service.

NIDirect

NIDirect is the official government website for Northern Ireland. It provides information on childcare and help available for families in Northern Ireland. It provides information on Funded Pre-School Education and Sure Start centres in disadvantaged areas of Northern Ireland.

4Children provides support to parents, children and young people in England, Scotland and Wales. It offers information about standards and details of clubs and play schemes.

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
