Living with cancer can be tough on finances. But thanks to the support of people like you, we’re able to provide services that can make a real difference.
When someone is diagnosed with cancer, their first thought is rarely about its financial impact. But, for many people, the cost of cancer can be steep, with four out of five people worse off because of their diagnosis. This may be because they can’t earn in the same way. It may also be because they spend more on everyday costs like heating and getting around, and they don’t know how to plan ahead. Too often, their money worries just get out of control.
Thanks to your support, Macmillan is able to help people who face financial difficulties due to cancer. Our services provide advice on benefits, guidance and support with household costs, help in understanding pensions and support with financial planning.
We want to help more people with their money worries, so they can focus on the things that matter most. That’s why this summer, Macmillan is launching a campaign to raise awareness of the financial impact of cancer and how we can provide support. If you or someone close to you has cancer and are worried about your finances, we can help.
