Interning at Macmillan

Our internship scheme offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved with Macmillan. You'll work with our experienced staff on projects and events, building on your existing skills and gaining new ones.

We have roles available in marketing, information development, regional fundraising, intelligence and research, policy, public affairs, corporate fundraising, services and events.

There are three separate intakes each year. Your internship can last between 10-14 weeks depending on your availability.

Internship periods 2017

  • Spring 2017: late February 2017 - mid-May 2017
  • Summer 2017: late June 2017 - mid-September 2017
  • Autumn 2017: late September 2017 - mid-December 2017.

Every internship role needs different skills. This might mean experience using Microsoft Word, the ability to analyse data, or knowledge of communications. What's just as important is your willingness to learn, and a passion for the work that Macmillan does.

We'll help you enhance your CV and offer you a reference at the end of your internship. Our internships and placements are voluntary unpaid positions, but you will be paid travel and lunch expenses.
