Jane Tomlinson Yorkshire Half Marathon

Join us

Registration is now open. Are you ready to take to the streets of the steel city and the infamous hill? With Sheffield being built on seven hills, you’ll enjoy a city centre atmosphere for the start and finish, and be rewarded with views of the Peak District as you conquer the climb to Ringinglow.

Specific info about the event

We’re delighted to be one of the official charities in the event. Every day in South Yorkshire a staggering 20 people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Macmillan offers support with over 150 professionals working in the area. But we couldn’t do that without the support of people in our team.

Help us to make sure no one has to face cancer alone by joining Team Macmillan and turning the streets of Sheffield green.

How do I get my own place?

There are two ways to get yourself signed up for the Yorkshire Half Marathon:

Macmillan Charity Place

No public entry stress! We ask you to pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £200 in return for your Macmillan place, and there’s no registration fee (we cover that for you!). To apply, simply click the green ‘Get a Guaranteed Place’ button above and complete our online application form.

Your Own Place

Public entry for the 2017 Yorkshire Half Marathon is now open at the official race website. When registering be sure to tick the box to say you wish to join ‘Team Macmillan’ and we will do the rest.

If you have already registered and didn’t choose to join Team Macmillan then don’t worry, it’s never too late. Simply click the green ‘I have my own place’ button above and complete our online application form. There is no minimum sponsorship, simply just raise as much as you can!

Why be part of the green team?

Whichever way you choose to join, as part of Team Macmillan, we’ll make sure you have:

- Our brand new fundraising pack, access to our online training zone and loads of fundraising tips and tricks.

- Your free Team Macmillan technical running vest or t-shirt, plus iron on letters to customise your kit.

- Newsletters to keep you up to date with Yorkshire Half Marathon news and activities.

- Access to the Macmillan charity marquee before and after the run.

Most importantly we will provide you with a reason to put in those months of training and fundraising, because you know that your efforts are going towards improving the lives of people living with cancer in the UK today.
