Now, at the moment you are probably thinking ‘It’s easy to keep motivated, I have signed up for a run and it’s all exciting.’ But trust me, a few weeks into hard training, dark winter nights when the lactic acid and the pain is hitting your legs, you might actually feel some nights like you can’t be bothered.'
'But for me, just remember why you are doing it. You have signed up to help a fantastic charity - Macmillan Cancer Support. You are making a difference to people’s lives, so that is what gets me going.'
'When I have done the London Marathon before and I am actually half way through it and I’m in agony, I just think of all the support I am getting on course and I think I am doing it for a great charity and I am helping people who are having to suffer through cancer.'
