What is a guaranteed/charity assured place (CAP)? Back to top
These are guaranteed places that Macmillan Cancer Support has purchased directly from the Edinburgh Marathon race organisers and we require you to complete a Macmillan guaranteed place application form for one of these places.
What is your own place? Back to top
Your own place means that you have entered the online system for the 2012 Edinburgh Marathon Festival directly through the official website at www.edinburgh-marathon.com. You will have paid an entry fee directly to the Edinburgh Marathon race organisers - GSI Events.
Once your place has been confirmed in the Edinburgh Marathon, Half Marathon, Hairy Haggis Team Relay, 10K or 5K runs by race organisers (GSI Events), we'd be delighted if you join Team Macmillan. Simply fill in our online form, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 7840 7878.
If you have your own place there is no minimum sponsorship, we just ask that you raise as much as possible. If you have a Macmillan charity guaranteed place, there is a minimum sponsorship pledge:
- Edinburgh Marathon - £750 per runner.
- Scottish Half Marathon - £300 per runner.
- Hairy Haggis Team Relay - £750 per team of four runners.
- EMF 10k - £150 per runner
- EMF 5k - £80 per runner
Please note that Gift Aid cannot be included towards the above sponsorship amounts.
This will be due in one month after the event, 27 June 2012. Of course we'll give you all the encouragement and support you'll need to make sure you smash this target.
