Gower Macmarathon 2015
What resolutions have you set for 2016? If you’re thinking of getting fitter, spending more time with friends and family or planning a spot of fundraising, we’ve got some fantastic suggestions to help you achieve your goals.
Get on your bike! In June, why not pull on a Macmillan cycling jersey and take part in Dragon Ride 2016. Setting off from Margam Country Park, there’s a number of challenging routes and brand new for 2016 is the Macmillan 100 (100km). Setting out from the centre of Cardiff, this road cycling sportive that takes in some of Wales’ most breathtaking scenery.
Calling all golfers! Eighteen holes is just so 2015! Why not take our Longest Day Golf challenge? Gather up your team members and tackle four rounds of golf in one day! Last year golfers raised over £1million to support people affected by cancer.
In August, the stunning Mount Snowdon, Wales’ highest mountain, is home to a moonlight hike. Set off at midnight with torches and arrive at summit just in time to see the sun rise. Amazing!
Glorious Gower provides the sensational backdrop to the Gower Macmarathon in September. You can even choose between a 22-mile or 14-mile route. More details available later this year.
