The seminar in progress
Macmillan Cancer Support teamed up with Blacks Solicitors and Better Placed HR to deliver a breakfast seminar at the Doubletree Hilton in Leeds to HR professionals from the city and surrounding areas on the topic of managing cancer at work.
Almost 120,000 people of working age are diagnosed with cancer each year and this seminar was to raise awareness of how companies can support their staff appropriately when they are facing such a difficult time.
Blacks Solicitors shared their expert legal advice and gave practical support tips for employers, managers and businesses on dealing with Cancer in the workplace.
The seminar was very well attended and received and there are now plans to hold something similar again in the future.
Clara White, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support in Leeds says “We are so grateful to Blacks Solicitors and Better Placed HR for supporting this event and making it such a fantastic success.”
