It might only be January, but staunch Macmillan fundraiser, Geoff Stonebanks is already looking for new gardens to join his 2016 garden trail, taking place on the 9th and 10th July this summer.
Tom Carter, Sussex Area Fundraising Manager said after the 2015 trail 'What an incredible achievement! Thank you to all for the huge effort and passion you have put into your wonderful gardens and the very significant difference it will make to the lives of local people affected by cancer.'

Now in it’s 5th year, with TV Gardener, Christine Walkden as it’s patron, Driftwood Fundraising Groups Macmillan Coastal Garden Trail has raised over £32,000 for the Macmillan Horizon Centre in Brighton. So far, 20 gardens are planned to open their garden gate, 6 are doing it for the very first time.
Do you or any of your friends have an interest in sharing your gardens to raise money for Macmillan? You don’t have to have the best garden in the street.
Christine says 'There are probably umpteen better gardens down my street, but it doesn’t bother me - I’m not competitive or pretentious. I don’t want a showcase garden. It’s the relationship I have with my garden that matters.'
Public liability insurance is provided by the charity and it's up to you whether you want to serve tea and cakes or just share your plot! Go on make 2016 a year to remember in your garden!
