Gifts in wills, fund over a third of all Macmillan Cancer Support’s services. Surprised? Most people are which is why Macmillan hosted a legacy reception event recently at Mannington Hall Gardens.
The event provided a rare opportunity to hear lots about Macmillan’s work in the local area, meet Macmillan’s amazing professionals, as well as the regional Macmillan legacy adviser Nancy Kirkham.
A couple of guests commented: 'Macmillan nurses supported my late husband when he was suffering from lung cancer. I received support too after he died. That's why I support Macmillan so that others can benefit from their help and why I have included Macmillan in my will.'
'I support Macmillan for help received in the past. I will consider leaving a gift in my will, please send me a codicil form.'
Gifts in wills are vital in enabling Macmillan to provide medical, emotional, financial and practical support now and for future generations of people affected by cancer.
