27 March 2013
Paul Wright & Paul Harrison organised a Soul Night at the Dolphin Centre, Darlington on the 15 March 2013 in memory of a dear friend Michael Creighton.
The event was a huge success with over 300 people attending the Dolphin Centre at Darlington for a Northern Soul Night. An outstanding £2282 was raised on the night in memory of Michael Crieghton.
Organiser Paul Wright said, ‘I would like to thank everyone who supported The Soul Night at The Dolphin Centre on 15 March. The night couldn’t have happened without the help of Paul Harrison, Ian Stevens, Mick Jackson, Paul Ferguson, Alan Carlton and the staff at The Dolphin Centre. Also a big Thank you to everyone who donated prizes for the Raffle. We Celebrated Spyks life with A Memorial Soul Night. Spyk was very well known amongst The Northern Soul Community, the numbers who turned up to support us reflected that. A great friend who will be missed by many.’
Liz Airey, Fundraising manager for Tees Valley, would like to say a massive thank you all everyone who was involved in making the event so successful and most of all raising such a fantastic amount to help local people affected by cancer.
Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed, you need a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. That’s who we are.
When the time is right, you can do something to help. We can all be part of the team. We are Macmillan Cancer Support.
