One of the leading names in car and van retailing in the North East of England is supporting Macmillan.
SG Petch is offering to make a generous donation to two well-loved charities for every new car bought from five of its local dealerships throughout September 2013.
The garages involved in this fundraising event are SG Petch in Durham, Darlington, Middlesbrough, Richmond and York.
Samantha Petch, Director of the popular dealership chain, created the donation scheme in support of Macmillan Cancer Support and Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland. She is hopeful it will raise up to £10,000 to be shared between the two charities.
The promotion will be launched at a coffee day on Friday 30 August in all branches.
Michelle Muir, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan said: 'We are delighted that SG Petch is working locally to make sure no one faces cancer alone.
'In County Durham we need to raise over £500,000 in 2013 to be able to put new services in place and keep existing ones running. SG petch will play a big part in reaching that target.'
