Vehicle dealership Vindis has partnered with cancer support charity Macmillan.
The aim for the group is to raise £52,000 over the next two years starting March 2016 — a total which will fund an extra Macmillan nurse in an area close to the company.
Here’s how The Vindis Group aim to reach their target:
Fundraising day at the Grand Arcade in Cambridge
Kick-starting this partnership was an effort held jointly by Macmillan and Vindis at Cambridge’s Grand Arcade in March.
The day saw a photo booth set up at the site, along with a visit from Cambridge United football players. In total, more than £400 was raised.
The Three Peaks Challenge
Vindis looked to go even further with their next fundraising effort, when members of the company’s Senior Management team took on the Three Peaks Challenge.
For the effort, Jamie Vindis, Mark Morris, Jason Packer, Peter Toop, Dan Jamieson, Phil Hedley, Richard Hillier and Paul Woodhouse climbed the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales — Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden, respectively — in 24 hours.
The challenge has already seen The Vindis Group raise over £9,600 for Macmillan, with further donations welcome via this Just Giving page.
As well as the Three Peaks Challenge, employees across the group are being encouraged to sign up to fundraising efforts for Macmillan.
A dedicated fundraising event is also in the pipeline, where customers and members of the public will be invited to come along and help raise more money for the charity.
