Fundraising Manager, Chloe Coombs, with the Oundle Young Farmers.
The fifth Annual Oundle Young Farmers Charity Clay Shoot welcomed over 220 guns through its doors at Colpman’s Farm, Islip by very kind permission of Mr Charles Stopford-Sackville and family and encouraged stiff competition for the top prizes whilst raising over £7000
The event held on Sunday 14 June 2015, expanded once again into a fifth stand on the sporting making it a 50 bird day. The Bradshaws Team Flush again proved challenging from its low setting in the old railway cutting. John Bradshaws Gun Shop, Fotheringhay, have always supported the club in running this event from its very inception and this year they decided to hold a competition to win a Three Shot Semi Auto 12 Bore gun, this competition was hotly contested culminating in a ‘Shoot Off’ to decide the winner.
All proceeds from the day are donated to charity and the club this year will once again donate proceeds to Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and for the first time this year will support the Robert Horrell Macmillan Centre at Peterborough City Hospital. We are very proud to support both these charities and are extremely proud to say that this year we have once again beaten previous totals by donating £3592.86 to each charity.
With the event going from strength to strength we must thank all our sponsors, volunteers, competitors and our ever accommodating host. A massive thank you must also go to the hard-working committee who put so much time and effort into creating a wonderful event that we are very proud to run!!
