The energetic residents of lovely Leighton Bromswold will be pedalling for charity on Saturday 11 June to raise money for The New Macmillan Woodlands Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
Bromswold Bike Best is a cycling festival for everyone and aims to attract families, occasional and keen cyclists alike. There are 6 signed cycle routes of 2, 7, 15, 25, 50 and 75 miles along the quiet country lanes of west Cambridgeshire and east Northamptonshire, all starting and finishing at The Green Man in Leighton Bromswold.
Entry is by way of a suggested donation to be made on the day (£5-£15 depending on length of route) with all proceeds going to two charities - The Macmillan Woodlands Centre Appeal and Shine. A Bromswold Bike Fest Justgiving page has been set up for online donations which includes a ‘Team’ page for individual sponsorship. We are encouraging cyclists to set a personal or team challenge and raise their own sponsorship from friends, family and work colleagues for these great causes.
For those who are not cyclists but want to support family members who are, the gala festival runs all day. Based on the idea of the traditional village fete, there will be stalls, a BBQ serving food all day, a tea tent and a Pimms tent, games, live music, and much, much more.
